Evaluation-Question 4-Wordle

This question asked 'Who would be the audience for your media product'. I chose to put this as a Wordle because it's a simple yet effective way to answer this question. The teens and 16-24 represent two different things. Teens represents who I created my magazine on as the backgrounds are bright yet hold dark blotches within that I felt represented the personalities of most teens; they're loud and bright and their future is bright in the fact that they make it what they want but also the blotches indicate that each teenage is different and can blossom as they please. The 16-24 represents who I tried to aim my magazine at. My magazine is a newer genre of 'International House' which younger people can get into a lot easier than other generation and age groups because 'International House' dedicates itself not to find the average house music that you hear everyday but to inspire others into learning about that fact that the world is an enormous place filled with enormous amounts of people and good music may not just come from your hometown. Music can be made anywhere, by anyone into anything.

YR 13 feedback

This video shows feedback from the year above me who created music magazines this time last year. With their feedback I've gained a detailed view from my target audience which will help me improve on my design to make it better.

Initial creation so far

So far on the 22nd January I'm almost finalising my double-paged spread and continuing the editing of my contents page. This update is to show my progress and to also refer back to so I can see where I was in comparison to where I will be.

Preliminary photoshop task-Front cover and contents page

Before the creation of my end product, I needed to learn how to use Photoshop properly. Within this preliminary task I was asked to create the front cover and contents page for a schools magazine. It was a way to show what I'd learnt in photoshop and how I my basic skills have developed throughout. In doing this I've now got more than basic skills in Photoshop which will benefit me when creating my end product.

My Step by Step to the creation of my final product

Front Cover
I have an array of photos that I'd like to use. It would be good for an overall background that I'm intending to use because it keeps up a regular theme throughout the magazine. The front cover should also have a unique title that is made out of a custom font so that it stands out on the page. My last want would for the colour scheme to be bright and shocking so lots of white's, yellows and blues because the background I'mm intending to use has black blotches.

Contents page
The contents page is a crucial part of the magazine but its connotations aren't too important because it creates the part of the magazine that are yet to be seen. Its individual pages need to have smart titles that are unique and interesting to the reader which would include unique DJ names. I might find a name generator.

Double-Paged Spread
This is a mix of two pages.
On my first side I want an interview that is clear as an interview but also has leading titles to introduce it, a clear introduction and relevant pictures so that the readers can tell what I've written is what they want to read.
The second page would look good if it was a fact file of my main story and I also want to put an overall effect on that page to create an extra uniqueness to the magazines largest section.
